Rec HiMALAyA 2011 Expedition
Trek details to be advised - likely a walk in to the rolwaling Valley and walk out.
We'll be a group of 6 -10 strong and competent MtnRec trek/climbing friends.
Nepal politics: Significant political changes have occurred
The walking distance covered will be
significant, diverse, at times robust, but nowhere in the
world are there more spectacular mountain vistas . The
acclimatization rate is based on a 300m/day elevation
gain over 1st ten days.

However in the populated parts of Khumbu valley there are A numerous trek lodges. Both forms of accommodation have their advantages. We plan to use both when and where appropriate. (Ice axe & crampons can be hired in Wanaka or Kathmandu @ US$10/day) and if trekkers wish they can sleep in lodges pay for the bed on a nightly basis (US$5-8/night)(Current Exch rate US$1 - 75 rupees) There are some nights when the lodge option may be available (and hot? showers at US$5)
